Darrel Klessig, all conference football player from Colby, has enrolled as a freshman at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point.

He was a member of the Colby high team that has logged four consecutive Cloverbelt championships. Last year he played the center position.

Besides one of the top picks in the Cloverbelt conference, he was named to the third team all-state.

He plans to pursue that sport on the collegiate level.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ely Klessig, Route 2, Colby.
