A very surprised young ten year old Neillsville girl won the June Dairy
Dessert/Salad Recipe Contest held June 30, 1975. Karen Strangfeld, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Strangfeld, won the contest with her Creamy Fruit Chill.
Even though it was her first year to enter, she place first over 33 other
entries, which include women of all ages and one young man. Miss Strangfeld will
represent Clark County at the WEAU-TV Bake Off on August 6.
The top eight winner shared in over $100 worth of merchandise and gifts which
were provided by dairy boosters from around Clark County.
The judges for the contest were Mrs. Martha Craig, Willard, Mrs. Steve Subera,
Colby, and Harlan Schultz of Neillsville.
