Andreshak, Joseph “Red” (4 Apr 1913 – 16 Jul 1975)

Joseph “Red” Andreshak, 62, Abbotsford, died Wednesday, July 16, 1975, at Abbotsford.

Services were Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford. The Rev. Emil Hodnik officiated and burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.

Pallbearers were Donald Kalepp, Donald Kaiser, Delmar Treptow, Gerald Kollath, Roger Thielman and Irve Klieforth.

Mr. Andreshak was born April 4, 1913 in the Town of Cassel, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Andreshak. On June 15, 1938 he married the former Rosina Stelzel at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives.

Mr. Andreshak was employed by Minnesota Mining Company, Wausau until 1948. He operated taverns in Athens and Wausau until 1960, when he moved to Abbotsford and operated Red’s Bar. He retired in January 1974.

He was a past president of the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce and vice present of the Abbotsford Credit Union. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford.

Survivors, besides his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. Edmund Literski, Wausau; three brothers, Lewis, Edgar, Alex, Milwaukee, and Philip, Aniwa; four sisters, Mrs. Andrew Lang, Wausau, Mrs. Katherine Matushak, Mrs. Oscar Opichak and Mrs. Conrad Gertschen, all of Milwaukee, and two grandchildren.
