Kristel Sue Simmons, St. Paul, and Eugene Paul Bartnik, St. Paul, were married
at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, July 12, 1975.
The Rev. Frances Rushman performed the ceremony at 1 p.m. Special songs sung
during the ceremony were: “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Ave Maria,” Lord’s Prayer,”
“The Wedding Song,” and “Color My World.”
Mr. and Mrs. Owen Simmons, St. Nashua, Iowa, and Mrs. Agnes Bartnik, Colby, are
the parents of the bride and bridegroom.
Mrs. Roger Bartnik, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Susan Bartnik, Abbotsford,
niece of the bridegroom, and Connie Romm, St. Paul, friend of the bride, were
attendants.
Attendants for the bridegroom were his brothers, Roger Bartnik and Richard
Bartnik, Dorchester, and bob Simmons, St. Nashua, Iowa, brother of the bride.
Completing the wedding party were ushers, Arthur Bartnik, Tony Schmalen, and
James Meyer.
A reception, dinner and dance followed at Dorchester Memorial Hall.
The bride attended Hamilton Business College, Mason City, Iowa. The bridegroom
attended North Central Technical Institute.
The couple took a trip to Colorado and will live in Hudson.
