Pastor Roland Golz married Diane Loretta Marzinske and Gregory Robert Rueden
during a 7 p.m. ceremony at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Dorchester, July 12,
1975. Ellen Schumacher was the organist and the vocalist was Brian Schultz.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Marzinske, Dorchester, and the
bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rueden, Abbotsford.
The bride’s gown was fashioned with an empire waist, long sheer sleeves and the
full skirt was accented by a long train trimmed with daisies. Her veil was waist
length and the bridal flowers were red and pink roses and stephanotis.
Cheryl Steen, Dorchester, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. The
bridegroom’s sister, Tammy Rueden, and Mrs. Kathy Wellman, both of Abbotsford,
were bridesmaids. Junior bridesmaid was Cheryl Buss, and Patricia Buss was the
flower girl. Both girls are nieces of the bride.
The maid of honor and flower girl wor Nile green single knit gowns styled with a
high waist and long sleeves. The bodices, collars and cuffs were accented with
white lace. They carried bouquets of mums.
Aqua blue gowns, fashioned the same as the maid of honor were worn by Miss
Rueden, Mrs. Wellman and Miss Buss. They carried a single aqua blue pompom.
James Plockelman, Dorchester, friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen
were Edwin Marzinske, Dorchester, brother of the bride, Thomas Marzinske,
Janesville, Minnesota, cousin of the bride, and Scott Rueden, brother of the
bridegroom.
Russel Buss, brother-in-law of the bride and Gerd Wellman, brother-in-law of the
bridegroom, were ushers. Junior ushers were Warren Buss, nephew of the bride,
and Wayne Klimpke, Athens, cousin of the bridegroom.
A reception, dinner and dance were held at the Sward in Colby.
The bride is a 1975 graduate of Abbotsford High School, and the bridegroom
graduated from Colby High School in 1971.
Rueden is employed at Dickman Mobile Homes, Spencer, and is also engaged in
farming.
Mr. and Mrs. Rueden are living at Route 1, Abbotsford.
