St. Olaf’s Catholic Church, Eau Claire, was the scene Saturday, August 2, 1975 of the wedding of Janice Marilyn Gasch, Eau Claire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gasch, Route 1, Colby, and James A. Molnar, Colfax, son of Alex Molnar, Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Raechel Molnar, Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Rev. William Matzek officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony and nuptial mass. Melva Higgins, Eau Claire, was guitarist and soloist.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white entrained empire gown fashioned with lace and organza over taffeta. Her fingertip veil was attached to a lace covered Juliet cap. She carried a bouquet of white daisies and spring greens.

A friend of the bride, Bonnie Witmer, Marshfield, was maid of honor, and Mrs. James Blain, St. Louis, Missouri, was bridesmaid. Kimberly Boxrucker, Colby, and Jennifer Greyel, Portland, Oregon, nieces of the bride were flower girls.

Their gowns were floral print. The maid of honor wore yellow, the bridesmaid, blue, and the flower girls and soloist were in pink. The bridal attendants carried colonial bouquets of white daisies and yellow and blue carnations. The flower girls carried baskets of pink and white daisies.

Best man was Don Westphal, and groomsman was Luther Frazier, friend of the bridegroom, both of Eau Claire.

Ushers were David Gasch and Jerry Boxrucker.

A reception and dinner followed the ceremony in the church parlors.

The bride graduated in 1969 from Colby High School, and was a 1973 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She has been employed at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire as a registered nurse.

The bridegroom graduated from Clackamas Community College, Oregon City, Oregon in 1971, and attended the technical Institute, Eau Clare, for two years. He is employed as utility engineer for the Village of Colfax.

After a wedding trip to Portland, Oregon, the couple will reside at 601 ½ Balsam Street, Colfax.
