Gerald Schommer, Dorchester, has named vice president and cashier at the Bank of
Athens. He’s a native of Abbotsford, having attended Abbotsford schools, and is
a graduate of the University of Indiana. He was associated with Dorchester State
Bank as cashier since 1971, and with First National Bank, Wauwatosa, as
assistant cashier from 1966 – 1971.
He is a veteran of the Air Force and married to the former Margaret Beining,
Marshfield. They are the parents of two children, Brian, age eight, and
Jennifer, age one and one-half.
