St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, was the setting for the Saturday, August 9,
1975 wedding of Mary Kim Hedler and Robert Will.
Father Francis Rushman performed the 5 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Hedler, Colby, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Will, Colby.
The organist was Mars. Gabriel and Fay Hainzlsperger was the soloist.
The bride’s gown of organza was fashioned with a full chapel train and the
molded bodice featured a split neckline and bishop sleeves. The gown’s waist
line, sleeves and cuffs were accented with Venice lace bands. Her lace edged
veil was secured ot a Camelot headpiece of ruffled lace with pearl embroidered
satin ribbon. She carried a colonial bouquet of ivory glamelias, baby’s breath
with springri fern.
Karen Nikolay, Abbotsford, a friend of the bride, attended as maid of honor, and
bridesmaids were Mrs. James Zenner, Colby, and Lauri Hedler, both sisters of the
bride.
Their maize colored gowns were of solid and dotted voile. The flounced A-line
skirts were styled with a dotted voile tank top jacket, fashioned with cape
sleeves. They carried nosegays of white daisy poms, orange carnations and baby’s
breath with greens.
Ralph Jannene, Colby, was best man, and John Beyerl, River Falls, friend of the
bridegroom, and Denny Heber, Marshfield, cousin of the bridegroom, were the
attendants.
Ushers were Gary Will, Colby, and Kevin Steinmetz, Abbotsford.
Following a dinner a St. Mary’s gym, a reception and dance were held at the
Sword.
The bride is a 1974 graduate of Colby High School and is employed by Hedler’s
Pleezing Store. The bridegroom graduated in 1970 from Colby High and in 1972
from North Central Technical Institute, Wausau. He is a service man for Will’s
Gas.
They will live at Route 1, Owen.
