Halderson, Robert Casey (8 December 1938 – 9 December 2022) With Flag

Robert Casey Halderson, 84, of Neillsville, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Neillsville. .

He was born on December 8, 1938, in Manitowoc, the son of Arthur and Marion (Miller) Halderson. Bob was a member of the class of 1957 Beloit Memorial High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Bob married Lorraine Nelson on July 2, 1960, in Beloit, WI.

Bob began his career working for several construction companies before becoming the owner and operator of Custom Ditching Incorporated. He enjoyed working, especially when it came to operating heavy equipment. Bob was a member of Local 139, Wisconsin Operating Engineers. He contributed his time, talents, and equipment to many community projects and organizations, especially when it benefited children and parks in the Beloit and Neillsville areas. Bob liked working with his family on the Halderson Brothers Farm in Neillsville. He loved deer hunting, but more so spending time with his grandchildren and joking with his many friends.

Survivors include Lorraine Halderson of Beloit, sons, Todd (Kris McGinnis) Halderson and Troy Halderson both of Beloit, daughter, Tannis Woodman of Beloit, grandchildren, Gage Woodman and Brock Woodman; sisters, Connie (Bill) Hastings and Ruby Alcocer; brothers, Richard (Deanne) Halderson, Raymond (Karen) Halderson, Ronald (Marie) Halderson and Ralph Halderson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Bob was predeceased by his parents; infant daughter, Taunia; son-in-law, Matt; daughter-in-law, Annie; and stepmother, Jeanette.

A Funeral Service for Bob will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, with Rev. Larry Froemming officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022, in the funeral home. Visitation of Remembrance will also be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Neillsville, WI.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his name for Preservation Park.
