Klinke, Diane Jo (18 June - 1982)
Diane Jo Klinke and Gary Lee Olson were united in marriage on Friday afternoon,
June 18, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. Father Mertens officiated.
Parents of the couple are Frank and Vicki Klinke and Leonard and Mary Olson, all
of Greenwood.
Judi Klinke, a sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. She was joined by
Susie Pakiz, another sister of the bride, and Faith Olson, the groom’s
sister-in-law. All were from Greenwood. Serving as bestman was Ron Kind, a
friend of the groom from Greenwood. He was joined by Terry Olson, the groom’s
brother of Greenwood, and Dean Suda, a friend from Marshfield. Ushering were Al
and Dave Lindner, friends from Greenwood.
Serving as ring bearers were Corey Pilsner, and Todd and Troy Pakiz, nephews of
the bride. Selena Olson, the groom’s niece, was flower girl. Special music at
the service was provided by Lauri Larson.
The bride chose a knit, ruffled gown with lace tucked top, long sleeves and
adorned with a sheer, lace-trimmed and ruffled veil and a lace and pearl trimmed
cap. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white daisies, tied with lace
ribbon. Her attendants woe lavender-hued lace, pleated sun dresses with
long-sleeved jackets, they carried white lace fans trimmed with lavender
carnations and white daisies. (The bride’s and her attendants’ gowns were made
by the bride’s mother.) The groom and his attendants were attired in gray,
western-styled tuxedos and lavender-ruffled shirts.
Following the service, a reception was held at the Loyal American Legion Hall.
The cake was made by Sue Pakiz, the bride’s sister; the guest book was handled
by Geri Pilsner, the bride’s sister of Neillsville. Prenuptial events included a
shower hosted by Sue Pakiz and another hosted by neighbors of the Olson family.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Olson will make their home in Texas later this fall. She is
a 1982 graduate of Greenwood High School. He is a 1979 graduate of the same
school and in 1980 from District I Technical Institute-Eau Claire and is
presently employed by Olson Farms. The couple took a wedding trip to Wisconsin
Dells.
