for December. Submitted photo.
December junior Kiwanian:
In their December 12th meeting the Neillsville Kiwanis Club welcomed senior
student Emma Moen as its junior Kiwanian for the month. She is the daughter of
Kelly Silbernagel and Troy Moen, and has compiled an impressive list of honors
and achievements during her high school career.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, has maintained a straight “A”
honor roll throughout high school and held office in student council all four
years. Additionally, Moen is involved in Spanish Club, the Friends of Rachel
Club and FFA, where she has held offices of secretary, treasurer, and currently
is club president. Other honors and achievements include the Neillsville
Optimist Club Youth Appreciation Award, the current Miss Neillsville 1st
princess, and varsity track Most Improved Athlete award.
Moen is very active in the community with volunteer efforts including fall and
spring Adopt-a-Highway, Clark County fair, Thank-a-Farmer baskets, and packing
food bags. In addition, she provides statistical support for the Neillsville
Area food pantry.
Along with her full participation in school and community events, she has
maintained part-time employment previously at Subway, and currently works at
Unity Bank and Sniteman Pharmacy.
Following graduation in the spring, Moen plans to attend UW-La Crosse to pursue
a major in business, and minor in education.
The Neillsville Kiwanis Club takes pride in highlighting the achievements of
senior student Emma Moen, and wishes her continued success in the future.
