JCARE Delivers to Neillsville School District (Supply Funds - 2022)

The Neillsville School District was the recipient of Jackson County Area Retired Educators (JCARE) school supplies project. In its fifth year, the project provides school supplies to local school districts. JCARE members donate monetarily so that districts can purchase the supplies they need, which are often dwindling by this time each year. The Jackson County Area Retired Educator (JCARE) organization is continuing its five-year project of providing school supplies to local school districts. This is the fifth year of the project, and this year’s recipient is the School District of Neillsville.

The grant money from Wisconsin Retired Educators Association was not available this year. However, JCARE still wanted to continue the project, so members donated monetarily and providing some supplies. The money will be used to resupply the Neillsville student room for the students that need supplies and winter items.

“One of our members knitted 12 hats and mittens sets to keep the kids warm in the winter months,” shared school supply coordinator Cheryl Gabrielson. The money and supplies are usually given at this time of the year because all the retired teachers realize that supplies start to dwindle, and high school students start new classes during second semesters or trimesters.
