Trees For Troops (Army/families - 2022)

Neillsville -area tree farmers Steve Knoop of R&S Tree Farms and Paul Vine of Vine’s Christmas Tres are pictured with some of the trees each farm donated to Trees for Troops. They donated a total of 80 trees, which Knoop delivered to the Stevens Point drop-off site. Their trees are being trucked to Fort Bliss, headquarters in El Paso, TX, for distribution to army families. The Trees for Troops program supplies Christmas trees to military members and their families across the country. For service members who have to stay on base and cannot be home for Christmas or families with a loved one serving overseas, the trees bring a bit of holiday cheer. In 2022, Wisconsin tree growers donated over 800 trees shipped to 77 military bases. ‘Since the program’s inception in 2005, Trees for Troops has delivered nearly a 250,000 trees to U.S. troops. “We are both proud to help brighten the Christmas of those who serve our country,” said Vine.
