Cummins Filtration employees Ed Bayuk and Joe Sikora have reached a career
milestone of over 40 years with the business.
Bayuk and Sikora have been with the business since 1979, when the company was
still known as Nelson Muffler, and today are being acknowledged for their many
years of accomplishments and hard work.
Amanda Hensiak, administrative assistant at Cummins Filtration interviewed the
two employees to get to know more about the men behind the career.
The day Bayuk interviewed for Cummins, he was asked only one important question:
which department do you want to work in? To which he responded: “anywhere but
the weld department!”. Bayuk goes on to say that his favorite part about working
at Cummins Filtration is how local it is; “local people work here, and we see
them around town. I have life-long friendships that when I see former co-workers
it’s like time has never passed”. In his spare time, Bayuk enjoys serving on the
board of directors for the Rock Creek Disabled Outdoors, and looks forward to
participating in the disabled hunt that is put on every year.
Sikora does more for Cummins Filtration than just work there, he also advertises
for them as well. Sikora, a small-town celebrity, is frequently featured on
local radio station WCCN 107.5 The Rock. Sikora is the man behind the voice
doing the Cummins Filtration recruitment commercials. Sikora is known for his
voice, as well as his memorable laugh. When asked about what he enjoys most
about being a part of the Cummins family, he states, that he enjoys the annual
Christmas parties, where he hands out prizes and spends time with his co-workers
and their families.
