Jensen, James K. (16 March 1969 – 20 December 2022)
James K. Jensen, age 53, of Curtiss, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022,
at Aspirus Wausau Hospital under the tender care of Hospice as a result of
congestive heart failure.
James was born on March 16, 1969, the son of Jon (Bonnie) Jensen and Barbara
(Stanienda) Jacobson in Beloit. He graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in
1987. James worked for several restaurants in Wisconsin Dells during his younger
years. He moved to Minnesota and worked as a courier for an auto parts store,
tree cutting service and factory work. After 15 years, James returned to
Wisconsin and settled in Curtiss. He pursued his dream as an over the road truck
driver with several area trucking companies, including C.R. England where he
received his training and JD Bauer. A back injury put him on disability.
Jim loved deer hunting, fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson, camping and playing
his guitar. He also loved his dogs, Copper and Pete.
James is survived by his father and step-mother, Jon (Bonnie) Jensen of
Dorchester; his mother, Barbara Jacobson of Wisconsin Dells; former wife,
Theresa Short of Greenwood and his step-son, Garrett Short of Greenwood; his
Aunt, Jacqueline Uffelmann of Cashton; step-brothers: Allen Quante of
Stetsonville, Brian Quante of Withee, Randy Quante of Stetsonville, Corey Quante
of Madison and Scott (Cherry) Revels of Neillsville; step-sisters: Barb Quante
of Stetsonville and Denice Langreck of Greenwood; his special friend, Rebecca
Warner of Curtiss; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He is
preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Karl and Genevieve Jensen.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at
the Abbotsford Free Church. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.
until time of service at the church.
