Koffarnus, Ruth (7 Aug 1911 – 27 Sep 1975)

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Oscar Koffarnus, 64, at the First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. The Rev. Robert Swalve officiated. Burial was made in Dorchester Memorial North Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Schultz, Gordon Anderson, George Kadonsky, Marvin Plockelman, David Gipp and Clem Heindl.

The former Ruth Scheibe died at her home in the Town of Mayville, Saturday, September 27, 1975. She had been in ill health for several months.

She was born August 7, 1911, in the Town of Holton, Marathon County. She received her education the Pickard School, and was married to Oscar Koffarnus, July 13, 1929 in Dorchester.

The family lived in Dorchester until 1942, and then lived in Colby until 1954, when they moved to a farm in the Town of Mayville, where they have lived since.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, two sons, Oscar, Dorchester and Roger, Arizona; two daughters, Mrs. Nels (Cynthia) Anderson, Colby, and Judy, at home; twp brothers, George and Art, both of Abbotsford’ four sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Ethel) Rankl, Abbotsford, Mrs. Edith Lawrence, St. Cloud, Mrs. Thea Glover, Chicago, and Mrs. Della Haled, Florida, and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
