Father Francis Rushman officiated at the wedding of Joyce Marie Dums, Route 2, Colby, and Robert Gene Vogel, Marshfield, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, on August 30, 1975.

The 1:30 p.m. ceremony united the children of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Dums, Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vogel, Marshfield.

Kathy Kennedy, Marshfield, was the soloist, and the organist was Bernadette Gabriel, Colby.

Mattingham lace accented the bodice, Camelot sleeves and deep ruffled hemline of the bride’s white empire A-line gown styled with a chapel train. The lace was also featured on her fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of white orchids, yellow roses, green baby carnations, and baby’s breath.

Nicole Dums, Colby, was maid of honor. Mary Jaynes, Oshkosh, Mrs. Cathy Dums, Mukwonago, Mrs. Rhonda Hasenfang, Marshfield and Mary Wix, Marshfield, were bridesmaids.

They wore green jacket gowns od dotted voile featuring a ruffle at the hemline, and wore matching green brimmed hats. They carried bouquets of green, yellow and white daisies, accented with baby’s breath.

James Vogel, Marshfield, was best man for the bridegroom. Steve Hilgert, Marshfield, Gary Dums, Mukwonago, Galen Hasenfang, Marshfield, and Frankie Joe Vogel, Marshfield, were groomsmen.

Completing the wedding party were ushers, Richard Dums, Colby, and Vernal Weis, Spencer.

A dinner was held at the Colby Hotel, with a reception and dance at the VFW Clubhouse in Colby.

The bride is employed at the Marshfield Clinic, and the groom at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

The couple will live in Marshfield.
