The Clovernook Homemakers Club celebrated its 25th year as a group Sunday at the
Abbotsford City Hall.
Three original members, Mrs. Marion Stacke, Mrs. Mary Weix and Mrs. Lillian
Jensen were each presented with a corsage. The women are still members of the
club.
A presentation was given to guests on the history of the club.
First officers of the group were Mrs. G. H. Reidel, President; Mrs. Harry
Fristad, Vice President; Mrs. William Erickson, Secretary; and Mrs. Mary Weix,
treasurer.
Mrs. Erickson also served as Clark County Homemaker President from 1863 to 1967.
The group has 18 members and are involved in a number of projects, including
packing ditty bags for servicemen and entertaining at the nursing home.
About 40 people attended the celebration.
