Wendy Ann Wiegmann, Raymond, Minnesota, became the bride of John D. Venzke,
Abbotsford, Saturday, October 11, 1975, during a 2 p.m. ceremony at the Assembly
of God Church, Willmar, Minnesota.
The Rev. Dan Venzke, brother of the bridegroom, Wilson, and Pastor E. E.
Kirschman, Willmar, officiated. Organist was George DeBoer, Willmar, and Rosie
Johnson, Boyceville, was pianist. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Sjoberg, Stillwater,
Minnesota, were the vocalists.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Venzke, Abbotsford, and Mr. and
Mrs. Dick Wiegmann, Raymond, Minnesota.
A white satin gown, fashioned with lace sleeves and a wide ruffle bordering the
hem was worn by the bride. Her Juliet headpiece held a fingertip veil trimmed
with lace. She carried a bouquet of yellow, pink and white roses and carnations,
with long white satin streamers.
Sandy Wiegmann, Minneapolis, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Debra
Wiegmann, Raymond, another sister of the bride, and Tammie Venzke, Abbotsford,
sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids.
They were attired in full length yellow dresses with floral trim. Their bouquets
were pink carnations, white and yellow daisies with long green and yellow
streamers.
Stacy Sherman, Abbotsford, flower girl, was dressed identical to the bride.
Ring bearers were Chad Venzke, Wilson, nephew of the bridegroom, and Jon
Swanson, Willmar, nephew of the bride.
Steve Venzke, Minneapolis, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen
were Alan Venzke, Abbotsford, brother of the bridegroom, and Daniel Wiegmann,
brother of the bride.
Completing the wedding party were ushers, Dale Wiegmann and James Wiegmann,
Raymond, brothers of the bride.
A reception followed after the ceremony in the church Fellowship Hall.
On Sunday, a reception was held at the home of the bridegroom’s parents in
Abbotsford.
The bride is a junior at North Central Bible College, Minneapolis, and the
bridegroom is a senior there also.
After a wedding trip to northern Minnesota and Wisconsin, the couple will live
in Minneapolis.
