Fred H. Strathman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Strathman, Abbotsford, has
received a two-year Air Force ROTC Scholarship.
Strathman is a junior at the University of Wisconsin, Superior and a cadet in
the AFROTC program. The scholarship, valued at $4,000, will cover the cost of
fees, tuition and books, and will provide Strathman with a personal allowance of
$100 per month during his last two years at UWS.
Strathman is majoring in physics at UWS. Air Force ROTC scholarships are also
available for students who are majoring in mathematics, computer science (data
processing), nursing, pre-medicine, pre-dentistry or engineering. Additionally,
students qualified for pilot, navigator or missile officer training are eligible
for scholarships, regardless of academic major.
