St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, was the scene of the marriage of Deana
Scidmore and Donald Leichtnam on October 19, 1075.
Father Louis Dietrich officiated at the 5 p.m. ceremony for the children of Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Scidmore, Colby, and Mrs. Juanita Leichtnam, Colby and the late
Donald Leichtnam.
Rebecca Hinks was organist, Peggy Gosse was flutist, and Bruce Klocke sang “If,”
“Wedding Song,” “Color My World,” and “Joy.” Robyn Rannow sang “Verse from
Ruth.”
The bride selected a “Gatsby” look gown of Ala Mode fashioned with a slit
neckline and tucks and pearls. The button and loop bodice had bouffant sleeves.
The gown featured a flare skirt sweeping into a chapel train. Her turban style
headpiece held a circular veil. She carried a bouquet of three white orchids,
talisman rose buds with rainbow ribbon with rose buds.
Laurie Reinhart, La Crosse, was amid of honor, and Denis Scidmore, Colby, was
bridesmaid.
Their floor length gowns were apricot print made of polyester organza with
sleeveless bodice and flounce flared skirts. The waistline featured an apricot
sheer cummerbund with wide streamers. They wore a “Gatsby” type headpiece with
side effect streamers, and carried to Tails man open roses with rainbow
streamers.
