On November 12, 1975 the Clark County Board of Supervisors ratified a resolution
to change the name of the Clark County Hospital and Home to Clark County Health
Care Center.
The change of name is reflective of the changes, growth and development of the
county institution over the past several years. A major portion of the Health
Care Center offers skilled nursing services to the aged and people with various
disabilities. The Center specializes in offering care and treatment to
individuals suffering from psychiatric or mental disturbances. A broad range of
specialists are available to provide the most up-to-date treatment known.
