Burt Schauer of Abbotsford has been elected executive officer of Pershing Rifles at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, where he is a junior.

Schauer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schauer, Route 1, Abbotsford.

The Pershing Rifles is an organization intended, according to its charter purpose, “to encourage, preserved and develop the highest ideals of the military profession as exemplified by the life of General of the Armies, John J. Pershing, founder and patron of the organization.”
