David Westrich and his wife, Julia, have opened a new business in Dorchester
known as W & W Import Sales and Service, Inc., and specialize in foreign car
repair and in the near future expect to be selling used foreign cars, such as
Volkswagen, Toyota, Datsun and MG, and smaller American used cars.
Westrich worked in foreign car repairs for 10 years in California after serving
in the U.S Navy and until recently operated Dave’s Car Clinic at Medford.
The larger quarters at 115 Center Street in Dorchester, which formerly housed
Radlinger Chevrolet, allowed Westrich to expand his operation. The business is
open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Westrich builds dune buggies, and when living in California participated in the
Mexican 1,000, an endurance race for dune buggies and 4-wheel drives held at
Baja, Mexico, where he place 39th out of 250 racers.
The Westrich’s have three children, Kelly, 8, Willie, 5, and David Jr., 1 ½, and
are looking for a home in the Village of Dorchester. Westrich is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Harvey Draeger of Medford.
