Collins, Henry (6 May 1888 – 12 July 1982)
Henry Collins, 94, of Merrillan and formerly of Humbird, died Monday, July 12,
in the Family Heritage Nursing Home in Black River Falls.
Collins was born May 6, 1888, in Wisconsin. He was a World War I Veteran and had
been a carpenter in the Humbird and Merrillan area for several years. The past
few years he had made his home in Merrillan with his son William.
Survivors include three sons, Sidney of Loyal, Jesse of Humbird and William of
Merrillan; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren .He was preceded
in death by his wife, Clara, in 1950.
Services were held Thursday morning, July 15, in St. John’s United Church of
Christ in Humbird with the Rev. Don King officiating, with burial in the Town of
Mentor Cemetery. The Jensen Funeral Home of Hixton, was in charge of the
arrangements.
