Abbotsford Elementary School has developed a centralized Instructional Material
Center (IMC).
The center will serve students and teachers and include all areas of curriculum
with encyclopedias, almanacs, dictionaries, specialized reference books, film
strips, recordings, and other audio visual equipment.
Materials will offer teachers and students ways to present and learn as
individuals, small groups or in large groups.
IMC director is Mary Laverty. She will be responsible for checking out
materials, teaching classes how to use the library facilities, setting up
programs to meet special education need of children and coordinating units of
instruction that teacher may request.
The new media center is located in a 34 by 30 room on the lower floor of the new
section of the school. The floor is tiled similar to other floor construction in
that area.
