Grimstad, Sandra Jean (21 Feb 1976)

A service of worship celebrating the marriage of Sandra Jean Grimstad and the Rev. G. Keith Schoerlucke was held at 2:30 p.m., February 21, 1976, at the Emanuel United Methodist Church in Baraboo.

Officiating at the double ring ceremony were the Rev. Donald Pardun and Rev. Gilbert Schoerlucke, Louisville, Kentucky, father of the groom.

Parents of the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Leif Grimstad and the Rev. and Mrs. Gilbert Schoerlucke, participated in the ceremony during the celebration of the family and the lighting of the wedding wreath.

Mrs. Ruth Pischke was organist; Mrs. Marlys Pardun, Pianist; Steve Paris, vocalist, and Jim Jackson, trumpeter.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a floor length white chiffon and lace gown with fingertip veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink sweetheart roses and carnations, white daisies, chrysanthemums and baby’s breath.

Attending the bride were her matron of honor, Mrs. Emma Hughes, Hartford, and bridesmaids were Mary Honish of Madison, Sue Grassl, Stratford, Jane Grimstad, Middleton, and the junior bridesmaid, Kelly Jo Schoerlucke, Louisville, Kentucky. They were seen in floor length gowns of light blue polyester and lace, and each carried a sing long stemmed pink rose with accents of fern and baby’s breath.

The Rev. Joseph Amico, Edgerton, was the best man. Groomsmen were the Rev. Gordon Orde of Wykoff, Minnesota, Robert Decker, Milton, and Stuart Grimstad, Iola. Those ushering were Harlan Rook, Avalon, and James Hughes, Hartford.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church, with organ and piano music provided by John Agema.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in the church parlor Friday evening, and prenuptial showers were given by the women of Spencer and Colby United Methodist Churches, teachers of Marshfield’s Grant Elementary School, and by Mary Honish at the parental home at Wisconsin Dells.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Center, Baraboo, and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is an elementary teacher in the Marshfield Public School System.

The bridegroom graduated from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana, and Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston, Illinois. He is pastor of the United Methodist Church in Spencer and Colby.

Following a honeymoon trip to Telemark Lodge at Cable, the couple will be living in Spencer.
