More than 450 persons received either Bachelors or Masters degrees Saturday,
December 30, 1975 in mid-year commencement ceremonies at the University of
Wisconsin, Stevens Point.
Mrs. Mary Williams, member of the University of Wisconsin System Board of
Regents, spoke on her reflections of more than 10 years on the board. She will
resign in January to become executive secretary to the chancellor at UW-Stevens
Point.
In his annual charge to the graduates, Chancellor Lee S. Dreyfus urged the class
to, above all, help preserved the concept of self-government in this county.
Colby graduates included Chester Pawlowicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Pawlowicz,
Janice Reis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Pflanzer, and Cindy Schneider,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kocian.
