Jensen, Karl O. “Jim” (21 Feb 1915 – 22 Dec 1975)
Karl “Jim” O. Jensen, a former Dorchester resident, age 60, of Wisconsin Dells,
died December 22, 1975 in St. Claire Hospital, Baraboo, following a heart
ailment of several years.
Services were held on December 26 at the Wolfgram Funeral Home, Janesville, and
burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Janesville.
He was born February 21, 1915 in Dorchester to Oscar Joseph and Lens
Straussberger Jensen. He married Genevieve Piekarski July 3, 1933 in Chicago.
He was employed for 13 years at General Motors in Janesville, operated a
steakhouse in Edgar, worked for many years on the Monroe Police Department, and
as a guard at the State Correctional Center, Elkhorn, and lived in the
Dorchester area at various times.
He retired several years ago at Wisconsin Dells, following a heart attack.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Jon J., chief of police in Boscobel; one
daughter, Mrs. Larry (Jacqueline) Uffelmann, New Glarus; five grandchildren
three brothers, Lee, Lowen, Arthur, Dorchester, Warren, Beloit; two sisters,
Mrs. Amanda Blumer and Mrs. Rhoda Brock of Tucson, Arizona.
