The University of Wisconsin Extension announces the appointment of Mrs. Joan
Diehl to the position of Clark County Senior Citizens Coordinator.
The senior citizens coordinator has responsibility for program development,
education and publicity. Mrs. Diehl will also attempt to keep in turn with the
special needs of older adults and will work to bring new programs into the
county to fulfill those needs.
She and her husband, Milt, who is plant manager of Nelson Filter, reside in
Neillsville. They have two daughters.
Mrs. Diehl is a graduate of Madison General Hospital School of Nursing and is a
registered nurse. She has a special interest in older adults, having served as
director of nursing at a Stoughton Nursing Home, caring for active and alert
elderly residents. She also has worked at the Veteran Administration Hospital in
Madison.
