Wellsandt, Mary Elizabeth (18 September 1943 – 17 January 2023)
Mary Elizabeth Wellsandt, age 79, of Abbotsford, passed away on Tuesday, January
17, 2023, at her residence.
Mary was born on September 18, 1943, the daughter of Ludwig and Marcellaine
(Horn) Gisvold. She was united in marriage to Ronald Wellsandt on September 19,
1964, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stanley. Mary worked at the Colonial
House Nursing Home in Colby and Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield until her
retirement in 2019, at the age of 75.
Mary was a member of Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford and a member
of the PCCW.
Mary is survived by her three children: Kim (Kyle) Kalepp of Athens, Jeff
(Michelle) Wellsandt of Colby and Tricia (friend: Linda Wilson) Wellsandt of
Madison, two granddaughters: Klare (Tim) Morines of Abbotsford and Kira Kalepp
of Athens, one great-grandchild: Mila, one brother: Dennis Gisvold of Chippewa
Falls, sisters-in-law: Jean Wellsandt of Chetek, Beatrice Wellsandt of Rice Lake
and Charlene (Rodney) Roytek of Thorp; nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Besides her parents and grandparents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband:
Ron, daughter: Tracy, brother: Tom Gisvold and sisters-in-law: Natalie and
Virginia Gisvold.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in
Abbotsford. Pastor Ron Schuenke will officiate.
