Clintsman, Susan Marie (26 June 1982)

Susan Marie Clintsman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clintsman, Rt. 1 Loyal, and Harry Emil Burkhalter of Spencer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Burkhalter, Rt. 1 Granton, were united in marriage at the Loyal United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 26. The Rev. Charles Sanford officiated.

Ruth Zepplin was organist, Jean Voss pianist and Lisa and Bruce LaBarge were singers.

The bride was seen in an organza gown with Chantilly lace trim, a Queen Anne neckline, split lace bishop sleeves and attached lace edge chapel train. She wore a derby hat with fingertip-length veil and carried a bouquet of silk pink and white roses, white carnations, daisies, lilies-of-the-valley and baby’s breath.

Susan Brenner of Loyal was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mavis Burkhalter of Granton, Peggy Kurth of Wausau, Sherry Froela of Loyal and Susan Bugar of Loyal. Sarah Grambsch was flower girl.

The attendants wore rainbow-colored spaghetti strap gowns with matching jackets and carried single long stemmed white roses.

Best man was Tim Steinbach of Granton. Groomsmen were Leslie Burkhalter and Jim Vandeberg, both of Granton; Dall Clintsman, Loyal; and Bruce Hanson, Alma Center. Christopher Klimpke was ring bearer. Ushers were Kevin Klimpke of Loyal, Charles Anderson of Minneapolis and Robert Wittle of Marshall.

A dinner was held at the church hall. Dance and reception followed at the Loyal American Legion Hall, Loyal.

Mrs. Marvin Burkhalter and Leslie Burkhalter baked and assembled the cake.

The bride was a 1982 graduate of Loyal High School. The groom attended Granton High School and graduated from Marshfield Technical School. He is employed at Camper and Recreation of Loyal. The couple made their home in Spencer after a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells and Great America.
