Kathleen Marie Foemmel and Dennis J. Thome were united in marriage on Friday
evening, August 6, in Marshfield Assembly of God ceremonies conducted by the
Rev. Robert Christenson. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Forest Foemmel,
Rt. 1 Chili, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Thome of Adams, Mn.
The couple made their home in Marshfield after a post-wedding trip to the
Knoxville World’s Fair. The new Mrs. Thome is a 1976 graduate of Marshfield
Senior High School and is a medical stenographer for the Marshfield Clinic. Her
husband, a graduate of the Medical Institute of Minnesota, is a laboratory
technician at the Marshfield Clinic. At the wedding service, special music was
provided by Lorna Tishim, Beth Foemmel and Renette Wehlacz.
Serving as matron of honor was Faith Schmidt of Marshfield. She was joined by
Debra Kayhart of Granton. Best man was Gary Wehlacz of Marshfield, who was
joined by Marti King of Dubuque, Ia. Ushering were Daniel Foemmel and Doug Pince.
Jason Foemmel was ring bearer while Shelly King was flower girl.
The bride chose a gown in a bell-style with net sleeves, circular train and
featuring chiffon over lace with Venetian lace as trim. She wore a matching
picture hat and carried a bouquet of white Azaleas, carnations, apricot roses
and wedding stars with ivy. Her attendants wore gowns in apricot hues and
featuring lace bodices with scoop necklines and short sleeves. They carried
nosegays of white carnations and apricot roses.
Following the service, a reception was held at the church.
