Billy, Margaret M. (12 April 1912 – 20 August 1982)

A Neillsville resident for the past six years, Margaret M. Billy, 70, passed away in Neillsville Memorial Hospital on Friday afternoon, August 20. She had been a resident of Memorial Home for the past year.

The deceased was born on April 12, 1912, in Gillespie, Illinois, to Michael and Susanna (Smuller) Billy. As a young girl, she moved to the Granton area where she received her education. She then worked in Evanston, Illinois, for about 25 years as a private nurse’s aide. After her retirement, she moved back to Clark County, making Neillsville her home for the past six years. One year ago, due to failing health, she became a resident of Memorial Home.

Surviving her are five sisters, Mrs. Mary Paun of Granton, Mrs. John (Helen) Janis of Waukesha, Mrs. Ed (Ann) Donahoe of Schaumberg, Illinois, Mrs. Rose Langan of Evanston and Mrs. Charles (Janet) Meier of Neillsville; and two brothers, Anton Rosandich and Louie Rosandich, both of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.

Funeral services were held on Monday morning, August 23, from St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili with the Rev. Charles Schumacher officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville was in charge of arrangements.
