Robin Schnabel and James Schilling were united in marriage Saturday, October 2,
1976 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby.
Father Frank Rushman officiated at the 1:30 p.m. services.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schnabel, Route 1, Colby, and Mrs.
Marie Schilling, Marshfield.
The new bride wore her mother’s wedding town. It was white lace over satin,
featuring a scoop neckline, brief sleeves and a gathered skirt. She wore lace
gauntlets and chapel length veil. The bridal bouquet included roses.
Maid of honor, Laurie Weix, wor ea shrimp color gown. Carrie Schnabel, Carleen,
Bar and Kris Schilling, attendants, wore apple shaded gowns, and all carried
parasols trimmed to match the color of their gowns.
Denny Schilling, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Keith Kunkle, Mike
Schnabel, Arnold Riese and Kevin Schnabel were attendants.
Completing the wedding party were ushers, Dennis Weix, Rick Schnabel, Scott
Schilling and Terry Borchardt.
A reception and dance followed at Dorchester Memorial Hall.
The bride is a senior at Colby High School. The bridegroom graduated last year
from the same school. The couple will live in Colby.
