Bayuk, Teresa (14 August 1982)
The Rev. Richard Bayuk performed the wedding ceremony for his sister, Teresa
Bayuk, to Larry Jolivette in Saturday afternoon, August 14, rites at Holy Family
Catholic Church, Willard. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bayuk of
Willard and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Jolivette, Greenwood.
Special music for the service was offered by Chuck Bayuk and Margaret Gosar.
Rose Mary Bayuk, the bride’s sister of La Crosse, was maid of honor. She was
joined by Susan Slowiak, a friend from Eau Claire, and Batty Bayuk, a cousin
from Willard. Russ Denk, a friend of the groom from Eau Claire, was best man. He
was joined by Kevin Metzke, a friend from Marshfield, and Dave Larson, a friend
from Miami, Florida. Ushering were Randy Vesel, a friend from Greenwood, and Ed
Bayuk, the bride’s brother of Willard.
The bride chose a hand-sewed, floor-length gown of batiste material. She carried
a bouquet of silk, white and pink roses, adorned with baby’s breath and other
flowers. Her attendants also wore hand-sewed, floor-length gowns in light pink.
They carried silk arrangements of white miniature carnations and pink roses,
adorned with baby’s breath. The groom and his attendants were attired in gray
tuxedos.
Following the wedding ceremony, a reception and dinner was held in the parish
hall, which was followed by a dance at the Greenwood American Legion Hall. The
couple then left on a wedding trip to the Smokey Mountains and southeastern
states.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Jolivette will make their home in La Crosse. She is a
graduate of Greenwood High School and from Mid-State Technical Institute at
Stevens Point. She is presently employed as a licensed practical nurse at
Hillview Nursing Home, La Crosse. Her husband, a graduate of the same high
school, also graduated in electrical power distribution from District I
Technical Institute-Eau Claire. He is presently employed by Gateway Foods and is
a student at UW-La Crosse.
Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by bridesmaids and another shower
hosted by the groom’s sister.
