Connie Frances Schoengarth and Brian David Price were united in marriage in
Saturday mid-afternoon, August 28, ceremonies at St. John’s Evangelical Church,
Neillsville. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tess
offered special music for the nuptials.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schoengarth, 202 Grand Ave., Neillsville, are parents of the
bride. Mrs. Wayne Hedlund and the late David Price, Altoona, are parents of the
groom.
Serving as maid of honor was Carla Struensee, a sister of the bride from
Neillsville. Joining her as an attendant were Michelle Wilcox, a friend from
Neillsville; Joan Delegard, a friend from Boyceville; and Brenda Price, the
groom’s sister of Altoona.
Barry Folten, a friend of the groom from La Crosse, was bestman. He was joined
by Jeff Phillips, a cousin of the groom from Elgin, Illinois; Robert
Schoengarth, the bride’s brother of Neillsville; and Dave Cooper, a friend from
Altoona. Ushering were Dennis Walker, the bride’s cousin of Neillsville, and Tom
Stadul, a friend from La Crosse.
Serving as ring bearer and flower girl were Dallas and Tracey Walker, cousins of
the bride from Neillsville.
The bride chose a sheer, nylon knit gown, featuring a Queen Anne’s neckline with
a sheer back yoke, long full sleeves, a bodice and sleeves trimmed with Venetian
lace and pearls and skirt and attached train, with wide, lacy net ruffles and
Chantilly lace. She carried a cascade of silk yellow and white roses, white
carnations, daisies, lilies of the valley and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore
long, pleated gowns in orchid with lace tops and carried long-stemmed
cream-colored roses with buds, baby’s breath and ferns all adorned with lavender
streamers. The groom wore a white tuxedos and his attendants were attired in
silver tuxedos.
A reception was held following the sharing of vows at the Neillsville American
Legion Hall. The couple said they would take a later wedding trip.
Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by Carla Struensee and Michelle
Wilcox.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Price will make their home in La Crosse. She is a 1980
graduate of Neillsville High School and is attending UW-La Crosse. He is a 1981
graduate of Hayward High School and was employed by the Neillsville Foundry this
past summer.
