The Rev. David Ault performed the marriage rites Saturday, October 9, 1976 for
Jean Block and David Toltzman at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Block, Route 1, Unity, and Mr. and
Mrs. Delmer Toltzman, Route 1, Spencer.
The bride’s gown of white dotted Swiss with full sleeves was trimmed in Cluny
lace. The full skirt featured a deep ruffled hemline. A matching headpiece was
attached to a chapel length veil. She carried orange sweetheart roses with dried
fall flowers.
Joyce Block, Unity, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Joy Miller, Colby,
cousin of the bride, Mrs. Donald Dommer, Spencer, sister of the groom, and Jill
Block, Unity, sister of the bride, were bridesmaids. Junior bridesmaid was
Jennifer Block, Greenwood.
The wore green dotted Swiss gowns with a square neckline trimmed with Cluny lace
and a deep flounced hemline. The junior bridesmaid’s gown was in apricot.
They carried bouquets of white mums and dried fall flowers.
Best man for the bridegroom was Duane Toltzman, brother of the bridegroom.
Groomsmen were Donald Dommer, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Dean
Toltzman. Jason Miller, Colby, was ring bearer.
Completing the wedding party were ushers Gene Knoll, Colby, and Kenneth Kademan,
Spencer.
A reception and supper followed at the Spencer Municipal Hall.
The bride graduated in 1976 from Colby High School and the bridegroom in 1974
from Spencer High School. He is employed at Wick Building Systems, Spencer.
