Longtime Clark County Coroner Richard Schleifer was honored for his years of
service at the Clark County Board meeting Jan. 19. He served in the coroner’s
office from 1979 to 2022, with 22 years as coroner. He received a plaque from
the board and an emblem from the sheriff’s department. “He did his job with
compassion... He has that presence about him to handle a tough situation with
wisdom,” said Clark County Sheriff Scott Haines.
