Leonhard, Garald E. “Gary” (28 June 1947 – 19 January 2023) With Flag

Garald E. “Gary” Leonhard, age 75, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on January 19, 2023, at the Marshfield Medical Center with his family by his side.

Gary was born on June 28, 1947, the son of Ralph and Dorothy (Jewett) Leonhard in Unity.

Gary was employed at Roddis Lumber /Weyerhauser/ Marshfield Door from 1965-2012. He served in the US Army from 1966 – 1968.

He married Dianne Bartz in 1969 and they later divorced.

He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, gardening, watching birds and wildlife. He also enjoyed watching Oak Island every week.

Gary is survived by his son: William (Bill) Leonhard; two grandchildren; Jordan (Jessica) Leonhard and Erica (Brandon) Wagner; one great grandchild; Elianna Leonhard. He is further survived by his siblings, Ron (Leanne) Leonhard, Medford, Greg (Jody) Leonhard, Marshfield, Cathy (Kerry) Steinmetz. Marshfield, and Jan (Dale) Block, Unity, as well as many nieces and nephews and faithful companion “Kiddo”. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister in infancy and a daughter in law, Laura Leonhard.

A Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m. with a Service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Military honors provided by Colby VFW #2227
