Tober, Edna (28 Sep 1898 – 6 Nov 1976)
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 9, 1976 at the Zion Lutheran
Church, Colby, for Mrs. Emil (Edna) Tober, who died at her home at Route 1,
Unity on Saturday, November 6, at age 78. The Rev. Robin O. Fink officiated and
burial was made in Colby Memorial Cemetery.
The former Edna Krueger was born in Milwaukee on September 28, 1898 and was
education at the Spokeville Elementary School. She married Emil Tober at her
family home in the Town of Sherman on May 28, 1918, and the couple operated a
cheese factory in the Town of Lynn until 1926, when they moved to the Unity
area, where they farmed until 1965.
Mrs. Tober was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and Sewing
Circle.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Tober is survived by a son, Leo E. Tober, Sr., St.
Petersburg, Florida, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
One brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
The Rux-Lulloff Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
