Peissig, Pamela Sue (11 September 1982)
Neillsville is the new home for the new Mr. and Mrs. Allan Laski. The couple,
Pamela Sore Peissig of Owen and Allan James Laski of Neillsville, were united in
marriage on Saturday early afternoon, September 11, rites at Holy Rosary
Catholic Church in Owen. The Rev. Richard Fliss officiated. Parents of the
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Peissig of Curtiss and Mr. and Mrs. James Laski of
Owen.
Maid of honor was Sheila Gorman, the bride’s cousin. Joining her were Beth Niemi
and Suzanne Mills, friends from Owen; Linda Laski, the groom’s sister of Rice
Lake; and Jackie Felts, the bride’s sister of Bozeman, Montana.
Best man was Tracy Johnson, a friend from Wausau. He was joined by Dana Peissig,
the bride’s brother of Curtiss; and friends Tim Tresemer and Jeff Klieforth of
Neillsville and Dale Niemi of Withee. Ushering were Jerry Gorman of Owen and Ken
Harycki of Greendale.
The bride chose a gown of nylon organza with corded lace over taffeta, a fitted
Empire-style bodice, a lace-beaded Queen Anne’s Neckline; her full A-line skirt,
extended into a chapel train. On her head she wore a mantilla. Her attendants
wore apricot-hued, polyester knit dresses with pleated skirts, yoked bodices and
Chantilly lace trim. They carried bouquets of pumpkin-colored miniature
carnations and daisies while the bride carried a bouquet of apricot roses and
white forget-me-nots.
Music for the service was provided by Dorothy Rabska and Louise Luedke, both of
Withee.
Following the nuptials, a reception, dinner and dance for 300 was held at the
Dorchester Memorial Hall. The couple then left on a wedding trip to the Minocqua
area.
The new Mrs. Laski is a 1980 graduate of Owen-Withee High School. Her husband is
a 1979 graduate of the same school and in 1980 from District I Tech-Eau Claire.
He is the assistant manager for Fullerton’s Lumber Company in Neillsville and
she was employed as a clerk in an Owen store. The couple will make their home on
Johnson Street in Neillsville.
