Wiersig, Mr./Mrs. Harold (40th – Nov 1976)

An open house was held Saturday at the Sword in Colby in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wiersig, Colby, with about 200 attending the dinner and open house.

Mr. and Mrs. Wiersig were married in 1936 at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, with Reinhardt Wiersig, Colby, and Martha Brehm, Spencer, attendants. Both were present for this occasion.

Wiersig’s have five children. They are Mrs. Tom (Linda) Brehm, Harrison, Ohio; Mrs. Earl (Carol) Wilhelmi, Colby; Mrs. Cheryl Boss, Fall Creek, and Robert, Atlanta, Georgia, who was unable to attend, and Mrs. Pat Hermanson, Bozeman, Montana.

They have nine grandchildren.

Sunday morning they had a renewal of marriage vows at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Robin Fink officiating.

Guests for the celebration were from Chicago, Wausau, Marshfield, Stratford and the surrounding area.
