Uerling, Alveria A. (17 September 1921 - 17 October 1983)

COLBY -Services for Mrs. Clarence (Alveria A.) Uerling, 62, of Colby who died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, will be Thursday at First United Church of Christ, Colby.

The Rev. Kenneth A, Dix will officiate. Burial will be in Colby Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Rux Funeral Home.

The former Alveria A. Mengel was born September 17, 1921 in Clark County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ervin (Jessie Castner) Mengel. She was married to Clarence Uerling March 13, 1939 in Medford. The couple farmed at Route 2, Colby.

Survivors include eight sons, Raymond, Russell and John, all at home, Donald of Colby, Ervin of Stratford, James of Milwaukee, Peter of Arpin and Thomas of Tacoma, Washington; five daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Mae) Mattison of Phillips, Mrs. Willard (Patricia) Meyers of Curtiss, Mrs. Wayne (Janet) Lawniczak of Oconto Falls, Rose Uerling of West Allis and Jenny Uerling of Abbotsford; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Harry Mengel of Stratford and Robert Mengel of Neillsville; and two sisters, Mrs. Leo (Yvonne) Plantico of Owen and Mrs. Carl (Alice) Heckel of Marshfield.

She was predeceased by her husband, a daughter and a sister.
