Engstrom, Regina H. (20 April 1904 - 17 October 1983)
Mrs. George (Regina H.) Engstrom, 79, of 1307 E. 15th St died Monday at St.
Joseph Hospital. She was a patient there since September 29 and had been in ill
health since January. Services will be Wednesday at the Hansen Funeral Home.
Rev. Carmen D. Petersen of Faith Lutheran Church will officiate. William Allen
will be soloist and Maldon Plank will be the organist.
Burial will be Thursday in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, Illinois.
Visitation will be at the Hansen Funeral Home.
The former Regina H. Guk was born April 20, 1904 in the Town of Lynn, Clark
County, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Bertha Prust) Guk and received her
education in schools there. As a young girl she went to Woodstock, Illinois to
work.
She was married to George Engstrom July 31, 1923 in the Town of Lynn. After
their marriage they lived in Chicago until 1965. Her husband was employed by
Westinghouse there for 43 years. After retiring in 1965, they moved to
Marshfield and lived here since. Her husband died December 1, 1975.
A member of Faith Lutheran Church, Mrs. Engstrom is survived by five sisters,
Mrs. Clarence (Adeline) Neinas of Milwaukee, Mrs. Erland (Elsie) Engstrom and
Mrs. Victor (Viola) Schlinkert, both of Neillsville, Mrs. Ralph (Amanda) Johnson
of Belvidere, Illinois and Mrs. Roy (Gertrude) Karolczak of Milwaukee.
She was also predeceased by a brother.
Memorials are requested to the Marshfield Medical Foundation for cancer research
or Faith Lutheran Church.
