Mueller, Elly L. (12 March 1931 – 27 January 2023)

Elly L. Mueller, age 91, of Marshfield, passed away Friday evening, January 27, 2023, at Stoney River Memory Care, Marshfield.

She was born March 12, 1931, to Emil and Erna (Bohl) Beyer who immigrated to the US from Berlin, Germany. While in school and after graduation, she worked for Roddis Plywood Corporation in the office preparing log statements for the checking department. She loved math and working with numbers.

Elly was united in marriage to Donald J. Mueller on September 26, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Together they farmed in Spokeville on the Mueller home farm until 1959 when they purchased a farm in rural Marshfield. There they raised their two sons, Steven and Terry.

Elly was very talented. Utilizing her knitting, crocheting and quilting skills she made many beautiful items for her family. She also enjoyed baking and always had cookies available for her grandchildren. Elly and Don loved to take trips and often took their grandchildren along. They would take them apple picking in Gays Mills and cherry picking in Algoma and also visited many other places.

Elly is survived by her two sons, Steve (Cindy) Mueller of Marshfield and Terry Mueller, grandchildren Karla (Rob) Flannery of Marshfield, Sara (Dan) Hyland of Cottage Grove, MN, John Mueller and fiancé Kim Bauman of Marshfield, Katrina (Ben) VanDusen of Loyal, Kristina (Tyler) Stuttgen of Marshfield, and Melissa Mueller of Marshfield; great grandchildren Gillian, Makayla, Ethan and Riley Flannery, Jared Faulkner, Brenna Hyland, Taylor, Diesel, Logan (and baby) VanDusen and Ryker Stuttgen. She is further survived by her siblings Betty Jensen of Spencer, Ruth Korth of Marshfield, Mary Kuethe of Three Lakes and Carl (Karen) Beyer of Waterloo, and sister-in-law Karlene Beyer of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don, her brothers Heinz and Alfred, brothers-in-law Wayne Korth, George Kuethe and Gene Jensen and sister-in-law Mary Beyer.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, February 4, 11:00 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 604 South Chestnut Avenue, Marshfield.
