Herrmann, William (16 Apr 1906 – 25 Nov 1976)

Funeral services were held Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester for William Herrmann, age 70, Route 1, Abbotsford.

The Rev. James Schaefer performed the 11 a.m. rites. Burial followed at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gerald Pinter, Laurence, Pinter, Gene Ridderbusch, Rod Ruesch, Vernon Westphal and Bill Zugier.

He was born April 16, 1906 in the Town of Little Black in Taylor County. He received his education in the Medford Schools.

Mr. Herrmann married the former Vera Pinter on June 28, 1928, in Wausau.

He lived in the Medford area until 1925, when he moved to Milwaukee and later to Madison, doing construction work. From 1929 to 1943 he lived in Grand Valley, Pennsylvania, where he worked on highway and airport projects. He entered the army in 1943. From 1951 until retiring in 1969 he farmed in the Town of Holton (Marathon Co.).

He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the Knaach-Thompson VFW Post No. 865 in Abbotsford.

Mr. Herrmann is survived by his widow; one brother, Fred, Phoenix, Arizona, and one sister, Mrs. Rose Freeck, Wausau.
