Living on Route 1, Chili, are newlyweds of October 8 - Mr. and Mrs. William R.
Happe.
The former Miss Ruth Ann Ably, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester M. Ably, 108 N.
Hinman Ave., was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs.
William R. Happe of Route 1, Chili.
The Rev. T. P. Bradtke officiated at the ceremony at Christ Lutheran Church with
William J. Arndt singing.
The bridal gown of ivory organza and chantilly lace was in Queen Anne Style.
With it she had a hat with puffed veil and a bouquet of burgundy roses,
forget-me-nots, baby's breath, wheat and ferney.
Mrs. Sheila Mayer of Chili was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jeanne
Varsho of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Kathy Geldernick of Chili, and Mrs. Theresa
Fischer and Miss Sally Koepke, both of Marshfield. They had burgundy jacket
gowns of chiffon and net and bouquets of burgundy roses, white carnations,
Baby's breath and wheat.
Steve Selk of Chili was best man. Groomsmen were Jack Ably and Simon Fischer of
Marshfield, David Happe of Chili and Jeff Krasselt, Marshfield, and ushering
were Jeff Ably and Brian Hildebrandt. The reception and dinner were at the
Knights of Columbus Clubhouse.
The bride graduated in 1982 from Marshfield Senior High School and is a sales
representative for Marshfield and Stevens Point K-Mart. Her husband, who farms,
is a 1978 graduate of the same high school.
