Fred Strathman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Strathman, Abbotsford, has been installed as a member of the UW-Superior Chapter of Sigma Pi Sigma, Nation Physics Honor Society.

Sigma Pi Sigma is the only national physics honor society. Chapters are restricted to colleges and universities of recognized standing, which offer a strong physics major. Membership is conferred on the basis of scholarship or professional record.

The society’s principal objectives are to recognize student with promise of achievement in physics, encourage a professional spirit and friendship, promote student interest in research and study of advance physics and stimulate interest in physics.

Strathman is a senior at UWS, majoring in Physics, with a minor in mathematics.
