Neverman, Marjorie E. (? – 25 September 1982)
Mrs. Marjorie E. Neverman, a former supervising teacher for Clark County, passed
away on September 25 in a Joliet, Illinois, nursing home. She was 80.
The deceased was born in Greenwood to John and Lina (Dutcher) Hawley. After
receiving her teaching credentials, she served in area schools and was a
supervising teacher for Clark County Superintendent from 1927-1934. After that
she taught in Illinois schools, retiring 13 years ago.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and its women’s organization
and the Retired Teachers’ Association.
Surviving is her husband, Cyril of Joliet; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Mary
Lou) Field and Margery Vrencur, both of Joliet; two sons, Richard and Daniel,
also of Joliet; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by two brothers, Dale and Milton; a sister, Irene Hannah; and two
grandsons.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 28, from a Joliet funeral home
with burial in that cemetery.
